Zircon is one of the oldest mineral on earth: 4.4 billion years old. It contains traces of uranium, irradiating itself and changing its properties. The initial structure of the foreground object is composed of 256 atoms, 384 bonds, 64 polyhedra. From a template by K. Robinson.
